Have you always wanted to try martial arts but are not interested in grappling, tournaments, trophies, high cost, etc.?   Then American Karate-Do Shotokai is for you!

We have been practicing in the area for about a year now and should soon have official club status at the university!  Our head instructor is 5th Degree Black Belt Jeremy Crook, the President of American KDS.  With over 30 years of martial arts experience, Jeremy does not get paid, but donates his time because of his love for people and the art form he studies.  We would love to give you a chance to experience for yourself what American KDS practice can do for you!

As an official 501(c)7 non-profit membership organization, American KDS runs this club as a community service where dues are minimal to cover insurance costs and everyone who wants to participate can do so.  It is fun, safe, great exercise and also gives you practical self-defense skills you can study for a lifetime.  Adults age 16 to 160 are welcome to attend!  No prior martial arts experience is necessary.  Come experience a free Karate-Do Shotokai practice for yourself (standard meetings times are shown at bottom), or call the instructor for more information (318-278-3378).  The following are specific cancellations...

- Sat. Dec. 7th, practice is ON for 8-10am at 1533 Market St.!
