Stan found the organization during his graduate school in Louisiana. Now he made this website.
Resides in Ruston, LA with his wife and two sons. He is a Teacher of Blind and Visually Impaired Students for Ouachita Parish School Board with a Master’s degree in teaching and holds the National Certification in Unified English Braille (NCUEB) and the National Orientation & Mobility Certification (NOMC). He teaches braille, non-visual techniques, and Structured Discovery Cane Travel (SDCT) for students Pre-K through 12th grade in the public school system.
He began practicing with AKDS the summer of 2013. He was the first to grade from white to orange under the new AKDS adult grading standards in February 2014. Most recently, he earned his brown belt during the Fall 2017 weekend course in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He practices with both the Ruston RPAR Kids Club and the LA Tech AKDS Club.
