Peter is the Secretary of American KDS. He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and has also lived in Utah, Nevada, Japan, Texas, Massachusetts, and California. He has a PhD in cell and molecular biology and currently works in biotechnology in the San Francisco Bay Area. Peter began practicing with the Idaho Falls Club in 1999 and was awarded the rank of 1st Dan in March of 2009 and 2nd Dan in October of 2015. He has served as assistant instructor for the club at BYU and head instructor for the club at the University of Texas at Austin, and currently runs a practice group in Emeryville, California.
Simon is the head of the American KDS Technical Group. He was born and raised in Ayr, Scotland. He currently works in La Jolla and resides in Carlsbad (35 miles north of San Diego) in California. Simon began practicing with the KDS at the Durham, England University Club in 1989, received his 1st Dan in March 1993 and his 2nd Dan in 2000. Simon has a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a Doctorate in Optical Computing. He currently oversees a youth and adult club in the San Diego, California area. Simon received his 3rd Dan on July 4th, 2015, and his 4th Dan on March 25, 2019.
Kyle is a member of the American KDS Technical Group. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and holds a Bachelor's Degree and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University. He currently lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana and works for Sasol in the Inorganic Specialties R&D group. Kyle began practicing with AKDS in 2003 and was awarded the rank of 1st Dan in March of 2008. Kyle has personally practiced with Harada Sensei and the 5th Dan Technical Group at the KDS Summer School in Canterbury, England. He was the instructor for the Brigham Young University club in Provo, UT from 2008 to 2012. Kyle now instructs at the Lake Charles Club in Louisiana and received his 2nd Dan in October of 2015.
